I started ProactiveGrad to share what I’ve learned through my experience as a graduate student and to support others who may be navigating similar paths. When I began my graduate studies, I realized how different it was from my undergraduate years—more open-ended, more uncertain, and often more overwhelming. Over time, I developed systems and habits to stay organized, motivated, and focused, and this space is where I document and share those lessons.
This blog includes reflections on research, time management, planning, and staying balanced during graduate school. It’s not a step-by-step guide, but rather a collection of tools, ideas, and resources that I’ve found helpful along the way. I’ve also included some personal experiences that may resonate with others trying to find their footing in academia.
My hope is that by sharing what has worked for me—and what hasn’t—others might find something useful or encouraging for their own journey.

Economics Simplified
I started EconBlend to make economics feel more approachable and relevant to everyday life. Most of us deal with economic decisions regularly—whether we’re managing our finances, following policy changes, or just trying to understand why things cost more than they used to. But the underlying ideas behind these topics often feel distant or overly technical.
EconBlend is my effort to bridge that gap. I focus on explaining economic concepts in plain language, without relying on jargon, graphs, or complex equations. The goal isn’t to oversimplify, but to make ideas clear enough that they can be applied in real-life situations.
This blog is for anyone curious about how economics shows up in the world around them, and how understanding it—even a little—can lead to better, more informed decisions.
